ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced leader to join the team at Pickles, Gracemere. Specialising in Cars, Industrial, Salvage and General Goods, you will oversee the daily operations for the branch. This is a Full time position, working Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5.00pm.
Reporting to the Branch Business Unit Manager who is based elsewhere, Your key responsibilities will include: LeadershipProvides strong leadership through exceptional organisation skills, setting clear direction, role clarity and performance expectations.Drives and champions the Vision, Purpose and Values to ensure they are understood and embedded within the team.Conducts regular coaching/feedback sessions with all employees to build capability and facilitate higher performance.Finds creative ways to motivate, recognise and reward people for their achievements.Retains talent by providing learning and development opportunities and clear career paths.Conducts succession planning process and develops talent pipeline, understands key people risks and creates mitigation plan.Provides regular communication to the team through leading inclusive team meetings.Operations/LogisticsDrives usage of the applications.Partners with centralised teams and operations supervisors to ensure the efficient operation of the weekly auction cycle, ensuring assets are well presented for viewing and the floor is set prior to auction & fixed price sales.Coordinates in-depth training to Floor Operators, Detailers, Forklift Operators, Gate Officers and Inspections Officers to ensure efficient and productive operations.Liaises with contractors on site and organise activities to do with site maintenance and site projects.Liaises with transport companies to ensure a professional and efficient delivery and pick up process.Manages site security, including liaising with contractors to coordinate repairs and maintenance, acting as the second point of contact for alarms.Customer ServicePromotes and maintains good working relationships with buyers, vendors and delivery drivers, assisting with enquiries.SafetyMaintains a safe, productive and enjoyable work environment and adhere to WHS regulations.Complete inductions for new operations staff to the site and complete inductions for visitors/contractors where required.ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
Valid Australian Driver's Licence (essential).Valid Forklift Licence (essential).Effectively lead high performing, values based teams.Strong working knowledge of WHS policies and legislation.A lateral thinker that is energised working in and driving change in an environment undergoing complex business transformation.Experience across a broad range of industries relevant to Pickles business for betterment of serving your customers.Can quickly understand the business context and problems, strategic drivers, ways of working and use excellent communication skills to keep your team informed.Strong adaptability which can be applied across a range of problems.
