Add expected salary to your profile for insights Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS) is a well-established regional Aboriginal community-controlled health service, founded in 1986, which provides centralised advocacy and resource support for 6 independent member services, as well as providing direct clinical services in a further 5 remote Aboriginal communities across the region and being the lead agency for headspace Broome since 2008.KAMS has successfully delivered high-quality, accessible comprehensive primary health care services over its 34 years of operation and has provided innovation and national leadership in areas such as health information management and evidence-based best practice in Aboriginal Health.Position Summary:This position will be responsible for the day-to-day management of KAMS Remote ServicesSupports the KAMS Remote Services team to gain a full understanding of, and work confidentially to, the ACCHS Model of Care.Actively and continuously promotes learning, knowledge sharing and excellence across the multi-disciplinary team.Provides direction, support, coaching and mentoring to members of the Remote Services team.Ensures that there is a Model of Care policy statement to support a high standard of patient care and staff safety in Remote clinics.Leads the development of a training module on the principles of Aboriginal Community Control and cultural safety practices for inclusion in the staff induction processes.Builds a robust continuous quality improvement framework that meets all requirements of RACGP and ISO 9001 Accreditation.Ensures that the systems and processes which support the delivery of primary health care are standardised and aligned to the Model of Care, Clinical Governance framework and other relevant standards.Provides direction, support, coaching and mentoring to members of the Remote Services team.Proactively develops positive employee relations, incentives, and recognition programs.To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following:Demonstrated skill and experience at the senior management level within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS)Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the ACCHS Model of CareExperience in developing and implementing operational and performance targets and plansExperienced leader with the ability to lead, direct, delegate, motivate and manage a high performing team.Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high volume work environmentSolid understanding of organisational and clinical systems, functional structures, leadership dynamics and performance enablers and barriersSalary & Benefits:The salary range for this position is $120,829 - 146,859 per annum.
