About the opportunity We are looking for a full-time, Operations Manager based in our Melbourne CBD Office.
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm. It requires a blend of strong IT skills, analytical thinking, and a strong understanding of the legal market. Responsibilities will include a wide range of operational, strategic, and administrative tasks. This role will strive to bring the most comprehensive level of cohesiveness and functionality possible with the view to leading to greater employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: Streamlining Legal Processes - Implementing efficient workflows and processes to maximize productivity and looking for ways to streamline legal processes.Technology and Innovation - Staying at the forefront of technology by looking for new products and effective solutions of implementing new technologies to enhance the firm's capabilities.I.T Managing the IT function, in conjunction with the external IT service provider, telephone and other IT related service providers. Where appropriate, dealing with IT issues that can be dealt with internally. Includes overseeing the ordering of new equipment.Procure and manage IT Assets as necessary.Functionality - Championing greater functionality with the view to improving and implementing processes within the firm.Compliance and Risk Management - Ensuring the firm adheres to legal regulations and compliance standards. This include developing internal policies in conjunction with team leads, as well as identifying and mitigating risks. Knowledge Management Communicate key legal updates with the firm.Ensure the accessibility, currency, and maintenance of our staff intranet.Facilitating the effective sharing and management of knowledge within the firm. This includes maintaining legal databases, developing best practice guides, being ultimately responsible for the legal document precedents. Knowledge, Skills & Experience A bachelor's degree qualification, ideally within law or a related field.5+ years' experience in a similar role within the legal profession. Advanced technology skills Strong organisational and administrative skills.Excellent communication skills for directing, leading, and guiding staff.Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.Clear vision and direction for the business, with a goal-driven and determined mindset.Demonstrated success in business improvement and innovation.
