ABOUT THE ROLE As a JJ's Operations Manager, you will lead our site in Hobart. The main responsibility of this role is to lead our team to effectively manage daily operational goals for our various contracts in the region. This role calls for a 'hands-on' and tenacious leader who is driven to succeed through team engagement and an understanding of principles that underpin excellence in transport operations. You will be working with a safe, well-maintained and serviced, modern and reliable fleet. We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead operations on a day to day basis Plan for growth and follow it through Support and lead a team of drivers Establish and manage relationships with customers, team members and stakeholders Mentor and train your team Coordinate and optimise fleet activities - agile and flexible Comply with laws, regulations and requirements including OH&S with an understanding of return to work processes Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement ABOUT YOU Have a current HR (Heavy Rigid) License with heavy vehicle driving experience Have a curious disposition willing to ask the hard questions Able to mentor and advocate for employee engagement Experience in transport, logistics or service industry Possess a drive and hunger to build a positive team environment and thriving culture Show demonstrated experience in management processes including associated administrative components Well-developed people skills and excellent time management KPI focused with the ability to perform under pressure IT savvy with well-rounded practical capabilities in Microsoft suite and the ability to learn task specific software Able to successfully satisfy a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing BENEFITS We appreciate there is more to life than work, we provide a variety of work options to ensure the job gets done; with competitive remuneration and a range of benefits, regardless of your role or location including:
