Willing & Able Foundation is a registered NDIS provider and has been supporting adults with disabilities for over 50 years. We have several successful businesses which provide employment for Supported Employees in the Port Macquarie Hastings region and we are currently recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our dedicated team.
About the role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our supported employment services businesses, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our programs and services, developing and amplifying the success of each business unit in the process.
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement operational strategies to support the overall objectives of the organisation. Manage and oversee the supported employment team of supervisors, providing leadership, guidance and support. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and internal policies. Together with the Management team, monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement. Collaborate with other areas of the organisation to enhance cross-functional processes and workflows. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and the local community. Contribute to the organisation's continuous improvement efforts and strategic planning. What we're looking for
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Management, Human Services) and/or significant relevant experience deemed sufficient to equip the incumbent to fulfil the responsibilities of the position. Demonstrated experience in leading a team and promoting a positive workplace culture. Displayed managerial abilities with evidence of successfully completed projects and/or business development initiatives. Demonstrated high level emotional intelligence and empathy skills. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills including exemplary customer service skills. A compliance focus with evidenced skills as an effective problem solver. Competency with IT systems. Basic (or higher) level of comprehension of WHS legislation and the NDIS Practice Standards. Ability to conduct basic training and information sessions for staff. The demonstrated ability to effectively and courteously handle complaints and resolve disputes and conflicts. Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations calmly and professionally. Demonstrated high attention to detail in maintaining systems, processes, procedures, records and registers. Current NDIS Workers Screening Check or willingness to obtain. Current NSW Driver's licence. Current First Aid/CPR certificate or willingness to obtain. Preferred Criteria - would be looked on as favorable but are not mandatory
Experience working with vulnerable people within the community. Experience overseeing WH&S compliance within the workplace and supporting staff to work safely. Experience with fleet management. Experience with retail business operations. Have a LR Light Rigid Truck Licence. What we offer
