Our Client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee fleet and logistics operations in the Shoalhaven region. You will be responsible for ensuring transport compliance, including driver fatigue management, vehicle maintenance, and mass weight regulations. Your key duties will include managing daily fleet operations, efficiently allocating drivers, optimizing logistics, and maintaining the fleet to the highest standards. You will also manage relationships with local councils, resolve customer complaints, and ensure all regulatory obligations are met.
As an Operations Manager, you may be required to; Fleet & Compliance: Ensure compliance with transport regulations (driver fatigue, mass weight, vehicle safety). Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee fleet readiness through regular maintenance and repairs. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Logistics Management: Allocate drivers, optimize routes, and resolve operational challenges. Stakeholder Relations: Build relationships with local councils, contractors, and customers to ensure excellent service delivery. What we are looking for in an Operations Manager; To be successful in this role, there are a few things we are looking for:
Logistics Management Experience: Proven experience managing teams and fleet operations. Fleet & Maintenance Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance. Leadership & Coaching Skills: Ability to coach and mentor staff, contractors, and senior management to foster collaboration and drive efficiency. Problem-Solving & Efficiency: Strong skills in optimizing logistics and managing operational costs. Ability to manage budgets, costs, and efficiency improvements.
