About the roleARC (The Australian Reinforcing Company) has a fantastic opportunity at our Newcastle site for an Operations Manager. In this role, you'll ensure the smooth and efficient running of NSW's largest manufacturing operation, with a strong focus on safety and achieving production targets.Reporting directly to the NSW Area Manager, this position is perfect for someone looking to expand and enhance their skills in a dynamic and challenging setting.Your priorities include:
Full operational responsibility for production and logistics planning and service execution targets for the siteEmpowering the team to champion a strong safety culture is paramountManaging and mentoring the operations team, promoting a high-performing culture through clear accountability settingIdentify process improvement and cost efficienciesMaintenance planning and improvements to improve reliability and increase machine outputPromote customer centric values to ensure exceptional customer experienceProactively manage inventory to reduce waste and maximize EBIT performanceAs part of a broader leadership group, contribute to and influence site and area based strategic P&L decisionsYou will be a strategic leader with an innovative mindset, problem-solving and effective communication skills. It is important that you are an autonomous manager, who prioritizes a strong safety culture and continuous development of the operational team.You will have the following skills:
