An opportunity exists for a skilled and adaptable professional to fill the fulltime role of Operations Manager at our foodservice branch located in Western Junction.
About the Role: Reporting to the Branch Manager, this senior role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehousing and distribution operations within the branch, including monitoring expenses related to transport, equipment and the warehouse.
This is a physical position with some heavy lifting.
Duties: Control transport, equipment and warehouse expenses including rosters and wagesPromote safe working procedures and ensure policies are implemented and adhered toMaintain all vehicle and equipment service and maintenance schedulesCoach, mentor and execute performance management as requiredConduct internal audits of the Quality and HACCP based food systemsGenerate, analyse and maintain reportsSkills and Experience: MR Licence (essential)Forklift Licence (essential)TAS Police Clearance CheckExcellent communication, organisation and managerial skillsAbility to work under pressure and as part of a diverse teamComputer literacy, including the ability to quickly learn internal systemsAble to provide leadership and motivation to a teamApplicants may be subject to a pre-employment medicalThis position is ideally suited to a commercially minded individual who is looking for a diverse role with a secure and reputable company who believes that people perform best when they are empowered, accountable and recognised.
