Operations Manager - Transport & Logistics Location: Horsham, VIC Salary: $120,000 + super About Us: Our client is a prominent player in the transport & logistics sector, known for their dedication to safety, service, quality, and sustainability. About the Role: As the Operations Manager, you will lead operations, providing strategic direction and overseeing systems, finance, and safety. This role offers flexible working hours and occasional work from home options. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategic plan to support the organizational vision. Manage systems, finance, and safety, including regular P&L responsibilities. Identify and drive strategic new business opportunities and growth. Ensure staff are trained and developed to meet business needs. Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation. Investigate and develop new business opportunities and growth strategies. Allocate resources efficiently, including equipment, facilities, and staff. Implement programs to develop staff knowledge and skills. Deliver services to achieve budget and business plan forecasts. Monitor equipment and facilities for efficient operation. Experience Necessary: Essential Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum 5 years of senior management experience in transport & logistics. Ability to foster teamwork and achieve shared outcomes. Experience in transport-related industries. Proficient in cost analysis and financial planning. Expertise in change management. Strong experience in Chain of Responsibility compliance strategies. Desirable Experience in EBA negotiations. Understanding of Performance Management practices. Knowledge of Federal and State Workplace legislations.
