The Role
Are you looking for a hands-on leadership role that combines harvest management with agricultural innovation? We are seeking an experienced operator to lead a successful contracting business specialising in harvesting, spraying, planting, and earthworks while overseeing the management of 2,100 hectares of cropping near Banana, Qld.
This role offers significant autonomy and responsibility, managing harvest contracts from the local area to Goondiwindi and Walgett. You will lead the operation of two headers and support a skilled team of seasonal and year-round crew members. Ideally, you possess an MC licence or are willing to obtain one to manage equipment transportation.
Reporting directly to active business owners, you will maintain clear communication and detailed records and ensure smooth operations across all fronts. You'll use your problem-solving, mechanical, and fabrication skills to keep everything running efficiently. Off-season, you'll contribute to farming operations with a focus on soil health and sustainable practices. With an ever-evolving fleet and a business that embraces new technologies, this is a role with room to grow.
