About the Company & Role As a well-established and privately-owned civil contractor with clients across the infrastructure, mining and energy sector, our client is going through a period of sustained growth, and have engaged Infracon Australia to source a versatile, pragmatic and ambitious Operations Manager to be based out of their established Karratha office, to oversee the next exciting growth phase in the Pilbara on civil projects with new and existing public and private sector clients.
About You You will be a hands-on, pragmatic and grounded person, with strong relationship building skills and good commercial acumen.
With a small leadership group, we are seeking those willing to roll their sleeves up and work collaboratively towards a common goal, and take pleasure and pride in growing a company, and supporting the evolution in policies, procedures and systems as they continue to grow.
Other criteria to be considered are:
Ideally Tertiary Qualified (Engineering, Construction Management etc.
)Minimum of 15 years industry experience, 5 years in project/package managementStrong background in bulk earthwork projects, mine infrastructureAble to demonstrate successful execution of projects up to $20m valueExperience in tendering/estimating highly advantageousThe ideal applicant will have prior experience working on projects in the Australian mining sector with clients such as BHP, RTIO, FMG, Roy Hill etc.Those already living in the Pilbara, or looking for that coastal lifestyle change are actively encouraged to apply.You MUST have Australian Work Rights to be eligible for this position.Benefits & Salary You will have the opportunity to join a truly progressive and growing business.
