About the Club: Located in the picturesque university town of Armidale, our club offers a unique blend of cosmopolitan vitality and cultural diversity. Armidale City Bowling Club is a progressive, forward-thinking, modern venue. The Club features 62 gaming machines, employs 50 dedicated staff, serves 5,500 members, and has an excellent reputation in the area for its contracted food outlets. Situated only a short drive from the Coffs Harbour coast and halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, Armidale is the perfect location for those seeking a balance between city living and beautiful regional landscapes.
Key Responsibilities: Overseeing all operational areas, including Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Promotions, Gaming, IT, Maintenance, and SecurityAssisting with the planning and execution of business goals and objectivesManaging the club's operations within budget guidelines and achieving revenue growth targetsDriving service excellence, maintaining cost efficiencies, and delivering profit performance targetsReporting on operational results to the CEO and the Board of DirectorsActing as CEO in the absence of the CEOEnsuring legislative compliance across all operational areasLeading, coaching, training, and mentoring teams to ensure high performance across departmentsAssisting in developing and implementing club policies and proceduresPlaying a key role in the operational side of events and functions of all sizesSkills, Experience, and Qualifications: RSA and ARCG certifications, along with a current police checkExperience in hospitality/business managementStrong knowledge of beverage and gaming operations, with a focus on beverage stock controlProven ability to implement, measure and monitor marketing and promotional initiativesExperience in human resources, including performance management, recruitment, and structured trainingStrong financial acumen, with experience delivering results to budget, particularly in labour and cost controlExcellent customer service and leadership skills, with good interpersonal and communication abilitiesKnowledge of Club operations, relevant legislation (Fair Work Act 2009, WHS Act 2011, Licensing laws etc), and risk management principlesExperience using Senpos POS for inventory controlExposure to customer loyalty programsFamiliarity with Deputy rostering programFamiliarity with the IGT Club Advantage Gaming system would be preferred but not essentialFormal qualifications will be highly regarded but not essentialWhat We Offer: Assistance with relocation5 weeks of annual leaveComplimentary meal per shiftFree onsite parkingOpportunities for ongoing professional learningThe opportunity to live and work in one of the most beautiful and vibrant regions of NSWIf you're ready to take your hospitality career to the next level and join a club that's committed to excellence and innovation, we'd love to hear from you!
