Location: Pelican Point, South Australia Comprehensive training is provided About the role: Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this role is part of a small local team responsible and accountable for all of the terminal's inbound supply management, inventory and maintenance of critical assets. To ensure that we operate in a safe, compliant, incident and injury free operations.
The role has further scope to travel regionally to cover and support other terminals when required including Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and/or Hobart.
Key responsibilities: Planning and supervising operation activities of the terminal to receive, store and market products Ensure that the terminal operates in a safe and reliable manner Act as a focal point with supply to ensure the timely delivery of products Deliver high level of service of internal, external, business partners and other terminal gate customers Meet all Ampol and other legislative requirements Ensure cost effective management of assets and expenditure Oversee inventory by coordinating with supply/demand functions Coordinate rostering and manage all maintenance notifications using SAP PM Carry out toolbox talks and oversee the training of operations team in line with business and regulatory requirements Carry out the formulation, review and control of local procedures to ensure ongoing terminal compliance and operability About you: You are an experienced Operations professional with demonstrated success in supporting and coordinating Terminals within petroleum and/or hazardous environment. Your key focus is high achievement in health, safety and compliance. You can work autonomously and in a team with a high level of work ethic. You are flexible to fill in for coverage to support other Terminals interstate when required.
Key skills and experience: Tertiary/trade qualification in Engineering or related discipline Previous experience in Terminal Operations within petroleum or hazardous environment is essential. Exposure to control systems including DCS and Scada Ability to demonstrate planning, analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of relevant safety standards and trade practices Exposure and experience in emergency response situations We're an equal opportunity workplace.
