As the Operational Services Supervisor, you will supervise units within Operational Services including monitoring work production, quality of service and overall effectiveness by evaluating progress according to Queensland Health standards, relevant legislation, and guidelines. It will be your responsibility to ensure all employees are appropriately trained in line with their area of responsibility and all mandatory training is carried out during their employment.
Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient, and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.
About the role:The Operational Services Supervisor ensures quality cleaning, catering, linen, fire, safety and security, waste and ward services function to Gladstone Hospital facility. They fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service objectives and CQHHS values and follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken, in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces for all employees.
About you:Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: while not mandatory a relevant Food Safety Supervisor qualification would be well regarded.
Good supervisory skills including planning, organising, monitoring, and evaluating.Capability to identify opportunities for improvement and to resolve issues in a timely manner.Writing of reports relevant to the work unit.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $49,090 p.a. is comprised of:
