We deliver both the uplift required from Firmwide Risk itself, but also in Risk's contribution to firmwide transformation, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions and teams with spectacular results. We're looking for a leader to take our team to the next level, as we develop and implement robust risk management strategies and frameworks to mitigate identified risks effectively within our vast community of solvers.

As an expert in Operational Risk Management, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our operational risk framework, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, managed and mitigated effectively. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. In our Enterprise Risk team, you'll also:
Risk Framework Development: Develop and implement operational risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure operational stability and growth. Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and assess operational risks including process, system, and human-related risks from across various areas of the firm including Operations, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, Tax, Models and more. Risk Mitigation: Design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls. Monitor the effectiveness of these controls and make necessary adjustments. Incident Management: Oversee the incident management process, including the investigation of operational risk incidents, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective action plans. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organisation. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Workplaces, Business Insights and Group Reporting teams to align risk management strategies with overall business objectives. Leadership & Guidance: Provide leadership and guidance to the risk management team, fostering a culture of risk awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging risks to proactively identify new threats and opportunities. More About You: You have a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field. You have at least 8 years' experience in operational risk management within a professional services firm or financial institution. You have a comprehensive understanding of operational risk management principles, regulatory requirements and industry best practice. Specific experience in process mapping, process design, control design and/or data quality management would be an added advantage. You have strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex data and draw actionable insights. You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You have demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. It's time to move forward. And upward.
