Job Title: Operational Readiness Manager

This is a fixed term contract until May 2026 Role Overview: The Operational Readiness Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that new projects and initiatives are successfully transitioned from development to full operational status. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies, processes, and procedures that guarantee the operational readiness of our projects.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the operational readiness activities for Nyaal Banyul - Geelong Convention and Event Centre (GCEC). Develop and implement operational readiness plans, including training, documentation, and support. Coordinate with project managers, stakeholders, and teams to ensure seamless transition from project phase to operational phase. Identify and mitigate risks associated with operational readiness. Conduct readiness assessments and provide recommendations for improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations. Provide regular updates and reports on the status of operational readiness activities. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to prepare teams for operational launch. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational readiness, project management, or related roles. Strong operational awareness with a keen understanding of best practices. Proven experience in managing contracts and ensuring contractual obligations are met. PPP (Public-Private Partnership) experience is highly beneficial. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, driven, and capable of managing tasks unsupervised. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Experience with change management and risk assessment. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
