As an Operational Planning & Resourcing Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective deployment of resources to meet the ever-changing demands of the ambulance service.
To excel in this role, you will need exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience in resource planning, rostering, or operational management within a healthcare or emergency services setting would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the planning and scheduling of clinical staff to maximise roster coverage, considering factors such as operational demand, extreme weather, major events, industrial instruments, and skill mix. Provide advice and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team, Operations Managers, and others on staff utilisation, optimal roster coverage, and mitigation plans. Coordinate and control the production of rosters for clinical staff on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis, adhering to industrial instruments and staff availability. Determine and enact appropriate actions to cover and reduce roster shortfalls based on skills, knowledge, and experience, often requiring complex staff movements. Manage incoming requests for rostering services, providing assistance, advice, and solutions with a strong customer service focus. Prioritise complex planning tasks related to daily staff movements to meet dynamic organisational requirements. Develop and deliver roster coverage plans in response to unforeseen and predicted shift vacancies, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Act as a "Super-user" for the global rostering software system, providing support, guidance, training, and technical solutions to stakeholders.
