Operation Manager

Reporting to the Director, this role will be responsible for managing production and supply chain activities to ensure compliance to quality, cost, customer requirements and specifications while maintaining a safe work environment.

Lead, coach, and empower a diverse team of staff, suppliers, licence holders and service providers, cultivating a supportive and inclusive work environment. Ensure coaching, feedback, and training is provided to enhance individual and team performance. Promote a culture of safety first, accountability, recognition, proactive problem solving and continuous learning.
Encourage collaboration and teamwork across other departments including processing, design, maintenance, quality and logistics.
Optimise procurement, packing and shipping of products in terms of quantity, quality and deadlines.
Work with key stakeholders and suppliers to reduce costs and optimise operating budgets.
Qualification & Experience
Ability to lead, coach, develop and manage teams and improve engagement.
Ability to resolve conflict and drive change.
Knowledge of Agri-food.
Understanding of production management, organisation and planning, and problem-solving methods.
Good financial acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's Degree qualification in Engineering or Management.
At least one year of full-time work experience in a related field.
The successful candidate must be energetic and a leader who enjoys coaching their team. You will be motivated and driven to deliver on business objectives and be pro-active when it comes to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
