A leading innovator in the aerospace sector, specialising in the design and integration of cutting-edge unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and advanced aerospace platforms is looking for an Electronics Engineer. With a focus on high-performance electrical propulsion systems, the company is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology in aerospace and aviation.
The role will focus on working with powertrains, battery management systems (BMS), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and integration of state-of-the-art electrical propulsion systems for unmanned aerial systems and other aerospace applications.
The company has offices in Melbourne and Adelaide, so occasional travel between the two locations will be required. For candidates based interstate, full relocation to one of these offices will be necessary. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and integrate advanced electrical propulsion systems, focusing on powertrains, BMS, and PLCs for unmanned aerial systems and aerospace platforms. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into complex aerospace platforms. Provide technical expertise in the design and optimisation of power systems, ensuring performance, safety, and reliability. Troubleshoot, test, and validate electrical systems and components to meet industry standards and project specifications. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for next-generation aerospace technologies. Qualifications: Strong understanding of powertrain design, battery management systems, and programmable logic controllers Proven experience in the development and integration of electrical propulsion systems for aerospace or related industries. Expertise in the design, testing, and validation of electrical systems and components. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to aerospace electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. A degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Desirable Skills: Experience with unmanned aerial systems (UAS) or other aerospace platforms. Familiarity with aerospace-specific software tools and simulation platforms.
