About the Opportunity This role represents a rare opportunity to work on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build Program, delivering an essential sovereign capability for Australia. The Onboarding Lead will design, implement, and manage the program onboarding process for new employees to the SSN AUKUS program and develop scalable processes aligned to future program growth.
Responsibilities Delivery of initial SSN AUKUS program onboarding module and development of longer-term scalable onboarding plan for the program. Develop and continuously improve the SSN AUKUS onboarding program to ensure it meets programmatic needs and compliance requirements. Conduct engaging and informative orientation sessions for new employees within the SSN AUKUS Program. Work closely with department heads, P&C team members within ASC and broader Joint Partner team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Provide ongoing support to new hires during their initial period with the program. Evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding program and implement improvements based on feedback and best practices. About You Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is highly desirable. Minimum of 7 years' experience in onboarding or a related HR function, preferably within the Defence or manufacturing sectors in an organisation experiencing significant growth. Proven experience developing and implementing onboarding programs. Experience with HR Software and onboarding tools. Strong analytical skills, and a strong understanding of HR practices, policies, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Defence industry regulations is highly desirable. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
