About the role
We are currently seeking an Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) Senior Project Engineer for our Rail Operations hub in Perth.
Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities
Perform in-depth overhead wiring design reviews and modification proposals in order to suit constructability staging and other constraints.
Coordinate the project activities and engage the subcontractors to ensure a safe, timely and quality product.
Develop and deliver management plans and controls to aid the delivery of the project.
Monitor budget and risk register for the project and advise on variations, managing the budget for their assigned work scope.
Plan, program and regularly monitor the design activities to a timely and cost-effective conclusion ensuring the design is managed according to the client's brief, is buildable, safe and prevents re-work or ongoing defects.
About you
Minimum of 8 years' experience in the Engineering/Construction field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the railway Engineering/Construction field in Overhead Wiring project delivery roles.
Recognised university degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) working towards Chartered Professional Engineer status with Engineers Australia or equivalent.
