Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparation to run the drill stringExamine and maintain drill floor equipmentAssist in tubular tripping operationsAssist in preparation to run and cement casingPrepare and operate pipe handling equipment as necessary for tripping, making connections, well testing, and loggingAssist in nippling up choke and kill linesMaintain a high standard of rig housekeepingRecognise the mud mixing systemKnow signals and safe working procedures for operation of man riding and air hoistsRecognise the operation of the storage area and hopper systemKnow lock-out and tagging procedures for equipment maintenanceKnow well control procedures as detailed for FloorhandsCarry out fire team duties as directedAssist in first aid and medevac proceduresHave a thorough knowledge of rig emergency signals and proceduresReport any unsafe condition or practice at once to your SupervisorIntroduction: We are seeking experienced oil and gas rig personnel ideally based in South East Queensland and South Australia to work with a globally recognised company.
This will be a contract based role for upcoming drilling activity in the Surat and Cooper Basins, commencing immediately on a 2x2 roster.
