The Opportunity Weare looking for a Senior Infrastructure and System Administrator.
The Senior Infrastructure and System Administrator (SIA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure in an on-prem environment.Responsibilities include; Manage andmaintain the infrastructure and systems deployed in a complex environmentconsisting of Windows, Linux, VM Ware Participate in technical research to enable innovationwithin the infrastructure Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to company procedures and processesAssist the project teams with technical issues in the initiationand planning phasesof projects Accountable forInfrastructure, Storage, Linux and Windows systems hosted in a VM Ware environment that support infrastructure; Linux, Windows and Application systems; Responsibilities on these systems include SAand provisioning, operations, support and maintenance.Work with application support, network support and DBAs to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements Perform daily system monitoringand regular security monitoringPerform daily backup operations Provide level 2 and level 3 support for systems To be considered you will demonstrate; Extensive experience as an InfrastructureAdministrator managing and maintaining an on-prem environment Familiarity and experience with cloudenvironments would be desirable Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalentSystem Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoftwould be advantageous Experience in infrastructure and operations hardware infrastructure such as Blade servers, Server Enclosures, Storage, backup appliances etc.
