Reporting to the Specialist Procurement, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day operational service to the business on purchasing transactions including obtaining supplier quotations, Purchase Requisition (PR) review and Purchase Order (PO) creation in accordance with the Roy Hill Procurement Policy, governance requirements and commercial category management framework.
This role also requires the incumbent to educate and support frontline teams regarding the correct ordering processes for goods and services, providing assistance where necessary to maintain appropriate material records in SAP, while delivering outcomes that are conducive to maintaining a fundamentally safe supply chain.
Duties: Purchase Order (PO) creation via the company's SAP ERP system, in line with the Roy Hill Procurement Policy, HSE and commercial & financial governance requirementsCreate and maintain Request for Quotations (RFQ) for procurement of goods, ensuring in-depth analysis is undertaken to meet stakeholder requirements whilst maintaining the best commercial position for Roy Hill.Expediting of purchase orders when required to assist with mitigation of potential risks to production or downtime of assetsResolution of any delivery, pricing and/or quality issues with vendors and internal customers and escalate issues if/when requiredCompliance with Roy Hill safe systems of work, including participation in Safety Interactions and Critical Control conversations at site or in Perth.Participate in site travel (when required) to support site-based teams on purchasing related matters.Skills and Experience: Experience in either a purchasing, inventory or supply chain role.Possess high level customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships with customers and suppliers.High level of computer literacy, with sound skills in Microsoft suite of applications, including word and excel.
