Operations Support Officer – Amrun, Australia Great opportunity to join a global organisation at the forefront of mining.
Residential role based in Weipa.

Regular travel to Amrun operations [9 Day fortnight].
About the role We are looking for an Operations Support Officer to be a key team member of the IS&T organisation to drive customer support excellence across the Weipa Operations.
This role will be responsible for supporting and improving user experience across the 2 mining operations – Andoom and Amrun, however based predominately in Amrun.
This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a growing mining business that is embarking on significant technology leverage journey.
You will live in a regional centre & vibrant community with strong linkage to our environment & heritage.
This role reports to the Weipa IS&T Superintendent and will be responsible for: Ticket Processing and management for the 3 operations.
Computer & Telephony support (including computer build and triage activities).
Desktop Application support (with additional support from other application subject matter experts as required).
User support for Video Conferencing and Collaborative Applications.
Maintenance of critical IT infrastructure (such as Server room's).
Call outs for high criticality incidents.

Strong safety focus.
3 years minimum experience supporting a mid to large size Windows desktop environment.
Demonstrated experience in providing high quality IS&T support and customer service to clients both in person and remote support.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contribute to a culture of teamwork and take a shared responsibility for achieving results.
Excellent customer engagement.
Strong and demonstrable problem-solving.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships built on trust and a strong commitment to service & technical excellence.
It will also be beneficial if you have: Degree in IT/communications or equivalent discipline.
Microsoft Server experience.
Cisco networking experience.
Application support experience.
Mining experience.
LTE Network support.
ITIL service management experience.
