Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Job DescriptionWe would like to invite applications from experienced safety focused OCE Supervisors to join our Dawson Mine site team. Your role will be to monitor, inspect and report across mining operations to ensure all activities and conditions are safe, compliant with relevant legislation and Dawson SHE Management system requirements.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will possess sound knowledge of mining legislation, safety, health and environment and community systems and open cut mining techniques with a minimum of 2 years recent OCE Supervisory experience in an open cut mine. You must have a current:
OCE ticketS1, S2, S3 & G2 qualificationsOpencut Examiners Certificate of Proficiency in mine gases and gas testingConduct Atmosphere monitoringAs an OCE Supervisor you will encompass core statutory duties and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Dawson management system requirements. You have a demonstrated track record of driving key leadership initiatives and proactive safety management with a core commitment to continuous improvement. You will also have the capacity to deliver compliance through direction, education and consultation as required which is an essential component of the role.
