Occupational Therapist - (Time Fraction Negotiable) 2025 Start

Selection Criteria1. Relevant critical experience and knowledge of paediatric OT and its implementation in a school setting. Along with experience and knowledge in supporting teaching teams to develop and deliver inclusive classroom practices.
2. Demonstrates ability to form collaborative partnerships with families, staff and community members from a range of professional and cultural backgrounds.
3. Demonstrates excellence in oral and written communication including developing relevant evidence-based goals for students to inform individual Education Plans and other support plans
4. Demonstrates ability to use initiative for problem solving, setting priorities within the caseload and time managements, which includes 1:1, small group and whole class practice.
5. Demonstrated experience and capability to plan, implement and support adjustments for students including developing support plans, and working with teachers to develop their teacher practice
RoleThe successful applicant will work alongside teachers, other allied health professionals and education support staff to identify goals, deliver assessment and establish programs around sensory processing , emotional regulation self care and fine motor skills. The successful applicant will offer Tier 1, Tier 3 and Tier 2 intervention and provide supportive documentation for Disability Inclusion Profile meetings. The position is 2 or 3 days per week (8.45am to 4.30pm) and the candidate must have an Occupational Therapy qualification, a valid Working with Children Check and experience working with children. The successful applicant will regularly consult with teachers and parents in relation to the progress of students The successful applicant will provide written and verbal assessment and recommendation to teachers and parents where appropriate.
