About Your RoleThe Occupational Therapist will be based in the Wagga Wagga Mental Health Units, Acute unit, Recovery unit and older persons unit.
The inpatient units are committed to providing recovery-oriented and innovative approaches to care.
They recognise consumers with mental health issues as experts in their own condition and strive to provide an optimistic and positive approach to care with a focus on collaborative decision making and social inclusion.
Working with other service partners is central to the model of service delivery promoted by the units.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible and accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager and work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team.
The Occupational Therapist Level 1/ Level 2 will be actively involved in the development and provision of a broad range of structured activities and rehabilitation programs.
