Job Description
Heartland OT is a small family-owned business located in Charters Towers, North Queensland. We provide quality Occupational Therapy Assessments, interventions, and reports for children aged 3 - 18 years, primarily focusing on NDIS ASD and developmental delays using strengths-based and play-focused therapies.
The role includes a mixture of clinic-based and school and daycare visits. Opportunities to further develop and establish our Paediatric caseload, build partnerships within the community, and expand our reach to include the broader surrounding region of Pentland and Hughenden will be the short-term goals of this role. This is a 12-month contract with a view to offer a permanent role at the end of the period to a suitable applicant.
6-12 months of experience in Paediatrics is highly desirable, or a minimum of 12 months of post-graduate general experience as a practicing OT. Generous professional development opportunities and weekly 1:1 clinical mentorship and supervision are included, along with administrative and OT assistant support to allow you to focus on being a clinician. This position entails a 38-hour working week.
