Occupational Therapist

Heartland OT is a small family-owned business located in Charters Towers, North Queensland. We provide quality Occupational Therapy Assessments, interventions, and reports for children aged 3 - 18 years, primarily focusing on NDIS ASD and caseload. The role includes clinic-based appointments and some school visits, utilizing strengths-based play-focused therapies.Opportunities to further develop and establish our Paediatric caseload, build partnerships within the community, and expand our reach to include Pentland and Hughenden will be the short to medium-term goals of this role.This is a 12-month contract with a view to offer a permanent role at the end of the period to a suitable applicant. A minimum of 12 months experience in Paediatrics is highly desirable, or a minimum of 12 months post-graduate experience in OT is essential.Generous professional development opportunities and weekly 1:1 clinical mentorship and supervision are included, along with administrative and OT assistant support, allowing you to focus on being a clinician.
