A wonderful opportunity exists for a graduate and/or experienced Occupational Therapist to work with in our supportive, knowledgeable and friendly Occupational Therapy and Multidisciplinary Teams at Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH). Our rural health organisation was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health in 2019. CHRH operates across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria an area with some of the most picturesque countryside in Victoria, encompassing townships renowned for their community inclusion and spirit, as well as offering wonderful shops, wellness spas and cafes, all this within an hour drive of Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat.
The available positions provide:
exposure to broad clinical experience to develop highly sought after specialised clinical skills opportunities for involvement in quality improvement projects in both the occupational therapy team and the broader multidisciplinary team The Occupational Therapy roles available maximises all the benefits of working in a regional public service, including: working within a multidisciplinary team of experienced, knowledgeable, supportive and friendly clinicians, with career progression opportunities including leadership and clinical opportunities across the continuum of care. Our OTT runs a supportive and successful supervision program that all clinicians are offered and encouraged to participate in. Professional development is highly valued and encouraged as we see investing in our staff as highly important.
New graduates may be eligible for grants providing financial support to relocate regional Victoria as well as eligibility for the Occupational Therapy Student Grant Program which comprises a maximum of $15,000. Graduates and AHP returning to practice or to the public sector are encouraged to join our Early Careers Program that is multidisciplinary and peer driven. Opportunities exist to be exposed to and supported in developing skills assessing and treating the full range of clinical diagnoses seen in the rural community setting. Feel the satisfaction of assisting people in your community while colaborating with referring OT's at the major Melbourne, Ballarat and Bendigo hospitals as you enable the transfer of rehabilitation goals to the home. Experience the care of small community driven country hospitals as you work with the local resources to help people return to their homes.
Details of Appointment Permanent full-time and part-time positions available working up to 80 hours per fortnight
Based at Daylesford / Creswick campuses
Salary: Dependent on experience, as per EBA , 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging.
Additionally, final year students in occupational therapy who will work in regional and rural Victoria can apply for a grant of $15,000, delivered in two instalment payments. Funding is provided by the Department of Health and delivered in partnership with the Department of Government Services.
