Enjoy great rewards and benefits.Incredibly rewarding Community based rolePermanent Full Time positions available - 76 hours per fortnightYou will have the opportunity to be the difference whilst enjoying great rewards including salary packaging benefits, Bupa Health Insurance discounts, discounted gym memberships and much more.About the roleAs an Occupational Therapist you will work in a person-centred, multi-disciplinary environment that embraces innovative practice and focuses on the reablement of our clients.Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:Sound level of occupational therapy assessment and treatments skills, aligned to the needs and wants of our clients.Contributing positively to multi-disciplinary care planning for our clients.Demonstrated experience in person-centred practice, service continuous improvement, evidence-based treatment and service delivery.Case conferencing and problem-solving of complex care needs.Supporting clients on proactive, evidence-based reablement pathways and the capacity to identify deviation from this pathway early.Willingness to mentor students and to increase your personal skill set.For further details regarding the scope of the role, please refer to our website or the attached position descriptions.About youWe are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:A bachelor or master degree in Occupational Therapy including current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.Relevant experience with an understanding of clinical practices in an aged care setting.Experience in the multi-discipline environment with a focus on wellness and lifestyle pathways for older people.Ability to maintain concise and timely documentation.Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds.Interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills that foster the cooperation and support of clients, staff, external service providers and other stakeholders.Ability to teach, coach and motivate clients, using models of behaviour change, scientific evidence, clinical reasoning, and accounting for socio-cultural and individual factors.The capacity to apply for a provider number and an understanding of the aged care system.All applicants will also need to hold a current Driver's Licence.About usSouthern Cross Care is one of Australia's leading charitable aged care, health and retirement living service providers.
