Job Title: Occupational Therapist Grade 1 or 2- Rural Allied Health Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Hours per Fortnight: 76 or 80 with a monthly Accrued Day Off Location: Community Health, Shepparton Salary Range: $76,544 - $107,036 pa + Superannuation + Generous salary packaging + relocation incentives (if eligible) Relocating to Our Region Relocation incentives may be available to the successful applicant for this role, including relocation & accommodation support.
Relocation Support: Intrastate (over 100kms) - up to $2,500Interstate - up to $5,000Overseas - up to $8,000Accommodation Support: Up to $350 per week for up to 10 weeks; or10 weeks interim GVH Accommodation (if available)Connection to a FREE 1:1 relocation concierge service supporting all aspects of relocation.

Come and join the GV Health Rural Allied Health Team (RAHT), a team with a well-renowned supportive workplace culture with an opportunity to work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists. You will work autonomously, undertake a varied and diverse workload and provide interventions in predominantly home-based settings, making a true difference to our client's independence and well-being. There is no nursing home work.
The team is an established and progressive multi-disciplinary team which includes Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work and Speech Pathology services, supported by Allied Health Assistants.
The Occupational Therapist will provide person-centred care with an opportunity to: Travel across the Goulburn Valley region working in home and clinic settingsWork with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at homeDevelop goals and care plans to assist clients to remain at home and active in their local communityComplete equipment prescriptions, home modifications, advise on pressure care management/seating, develop in-home and community-based therapy programsWork with a diverse range of clients and health conditionsParticipate in student training programsParticipate in service development and quality improvement initiativesA comprehensive orientation program is available, along with supervision and support opportunities.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent and eligibility for membership of a professional associationCurrent registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational TherapistKnowledge and experience in the delivery of Occupational Therapy services within home, group and community settings, including home modifications and prescription of assistive technologyKnowledge of the service system and ability to liaise and advocate across the full spectrum of health and community careA clear/satisfactory National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening (NDIS) Check upon commencementWhy work at GV Health?
