Role Details: Reporting to the OHS Lead, you will be responsible for contributing to the capacity of the company to mine safely and lawfully by assisting in meeting legislative obligations through the effective provision of an occupational health and hygiene technical service to stakeholders.

This role is offered on 8 days on 6 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.
Benefits include: 6% Site Allowance & Private Health Insurance Allowance Quarterly Bonus Scheme Salary sacrifice options Increased leave entitlements for annual leave, paid primary and secondary parental leave Employee Assistance Program Long service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous service About the role: Drive improvement in the overall effectiveness of the Occupational Hygiene program and champion worker health Maintain the sites Health Management Plan and conduct Health Risk Assessments Identify potential occupational health hazards and develop control plans to improve workplace conditions Fulfill the statutory roles of Mine Air Quality Officer and Noise Officer Contribute to company and statutory compliance obligations through the input of hygiene data and generation of quality reports Perform Occupational Hygiene sampling in a timely and consistent manner to Australia Standards, site schedules and legislative requirements Ensure scheduled maintenance and calibration of occupational hygiene equipment is completed Maintain stakeholder confidence and business interests through a high degree of confidentiality and ensure sensitive information is kept secure Conduct occupational noise and ventilation surveys Provide respirator and hearing protection fit testing and advice Assist with the development and implementation of a health monitoring program About you: Hold current Surface Ventilation Officer and Noise Officer qualifications and capabilities Postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Hygiene or be working towards (highly regarded) Membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists or ability to obtain Previous experience with the development of occupational hygiene management and monitoring plans and the successful implementation of related programs A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Possess a valid Driver's Licence Applications can be submitted via: https://careers.goldfields.com/Australia Gold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
