The Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Northeast Health Wangaratta will be supported by an established Nursing Leadership team and lead a dedicated team of Consultants and Junior Medical Workforce who are focused on providing optimal clinical outcomes for the women of the North East.
Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is a busy sub-regional health service that is the major referral facility for the greater part of North East Victoria.
NHW provides a wide range of acute specialist medical and surgical services including; an emergency department, critical care unit, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, sub acute rehabilitation, aged care, community and cancer services.
Northeast Health Wangaratta is the major regional health service and specialist referral centre for northeast Victoria.
It serves a population of approximately 90,000 and has over 19,000 inpatient episodes and 25,000 Emergency Department attendances a year, and approximately 700 deliveries.
NHW provides a wide range of acute specialist medical and surgical services.
An emergency department, critical care unit (ICU, HDU, CCU), obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and specialised aged care, medical oncology services, community rehabilitation, and inpatient, community, aged and psycho-geriatric mental health services.
Offering public gynaecology and antenatal outpatient clinics and 3 gynaecology theatre lists per week.
This position will also allow for provide services to NHW for elective and emergency obstetrics and gynaecology and will share on-call cover with our existing Obstetrician/Gynaecologists.
The successful applicant will be required to relocate to Wangaratta region.
You must have Specialist Registration with the AHPRA.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FRANZCOG) and appropriate experience.
