In support of this newly awarded contract, Ventia are seeking a Firefighter to join their Fire and Rescue operations at the Army Aviation Centre in Oakey, QLD.
About the role This exciting position will see you work as part of a team of Firefighters who will be responsible for responding to incidents including airfield, structural and bushfire management. You will perform duties as directed by the Station & Sub Station Officers including but not limited to:
Maintaining operational readiness in accordance with relevant procedures. Ensuring that all relevant administrative duties associated with operational duties are performed. Complying with operational health and safety requirements. The position will require the successful applicant to work on an early/late roster cycle:
Early roster, Monday to Friday, 0700 - 1400.
Late roster, Monday to Friday, 1400 - 2330.
Special conditions:
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance up to a level of negative vetting 1 (secret). As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
Australian Federal Police check.
Ability to successfully pass an ARRFF pre-employment medical.
