This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.Training: Delivering restraint and other training to MSS employees and contractors, specific to working in the healthcare environmentOperational Compliance: Ensuring that all security officers are compliant with the requirement of MSS Security and the Customer SLALiaising with MSS Management and the Client to conduct investigations of incidents, injuries or any other events at siteAssisting Management with resolving issues on siteAssisting Business and Operations Managers with conducting disciplinary action for minor breaches (e.g. not wearing correct MSS uniform)Ensuring all personnel fully conform to company policy including Security Officer Standing instructions, Site Standing Orders and other instructionsConducting regular site visits ensuring Site Operating Procedures are updated and maintainedEnsuring all sites are equipped with adequate communicationsEnsuring the effective and efficient management, maintenance and distribution of radio communicationsEnsuring other audit devices (e.g. probe points, wands and data capture) are working effectively and rectifying or reporting malfunctions promptlyReviewing sites on a regular basis ensuring procedures are aligned with site risk factorsConducting security and firearms checks in conjunction with period auditsProviding advice, counselling and guidance to personnel in regards to risk and performance management issuesEnsuring all security officers are correctly uniformed and licensedDelivering uniforms to sites as and when requiredPromoting customer service by providing courteous and helpful assistance to client enquiriesEnsuring prompt attention is given to any customer dissatisfaction by communicating to the relevant ManagerBeing aware of and following company policy and procedures regarding Health, Safety and EnvironmentReporting and recommending solutions for non-compliances detected which may affect the quality of service providedEmployeeEngagement: Identifying training and development needsProviding employees with feedback and recognitionIdentifying and rectifying employee issuesProviding guidance, coaching and professional developmentCommunicating effectively with stakeholdersAchieving a positive employee relation's environment where employees are engaged and motivatedProviding positive leadership by example to all field personnelProviding back-up and 'last resort' coverage of shifts in critical circumstancesAttending to site emergencies, incidents and accident and accompany injured workers to medical assistanceCompleting daily shift reports including issues, action and possible market intelligenceEnsuring all mandatory training modules are completedOther duties as required by the ManagementHow to apply MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
