A typical day may look like: Reporting to the Region Category Manager, you will provide the highest level of category support to the West Regional merchandise team with a focus on analysis, pricing, forecasting, and reporting. You coordinate distribution centre fulfillment for animal health, animal management, fencing, general merchandise and water categories. Coordinating inventory management, including inventory exchange programs, excess stock movement across the branch/store network. Perform inventory analysis and reporting. Develop and coordinate regional merchandise forecasts for allocated categories. Complete sales and financial reporting. Field enquiries from internal customers and negotiate with suppliers to achieve a positive outcome for all parties. Conduct reviews of suppliers (quality, delivery, price, service) and provide an assessment across relevant categories. Continually look for ways to improve the merchandise and category plans. What we'll love about you: To be successful you must demonstrate exposure to an inventory administration with a high volume of SKUs across multiple product categories. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Analytical, critical reasoning capabilities. Animal health knowledge is preferred. The ability to quickly develop rapport with key stakeholders across a diverse business. A customer focused approach and drive for excellence and accuracy in your work.
