Flavorite is entering a high production season in the Nursery and is looking for people interested in joining the Nursery team over the summer months.
The Nursery Team Member is responsible for working as part of a team to complete tasks to achieve the relevant KPIs and quality requirements for the specific crop, which involves:
Grafting specific plant varieties onto root stock using specialized techniquesNursery tasks such as:Staking and clipping of seedlingsSpreading of seedlingsPlanting new crops in accordance with current standardsBlocking onPlant variety trialsPacking upMonitoring and evaluating crop and identifying and reporting on the physical health of the cropOther Nursery tasks as requiredCore capabilities of successful candidates: Able to work in a tropical environmentGood level of fitness with the ability to undertake physical and repetitive workAble to follow instructionsStrong teamwork abilitiesHigh attention to detailHighly motivated and shows initiativeAbility to communicate across different culturesThese positions are casual and are required for the month of December 2024 and January 2025. 6am starts will be required for this role.
Previous experience in the horticulture sector is not essential as successful applicants will be provided with training to understand the quality and performance standards required.
You must be available to work over the Christmas and New Year's period (Christmas Day you are not required).
