Exceptional job security The Role Nursery Farm Hand We are seeking an experienced Nursery Farm Hand to oversee our Avocado and Mango Nursery.
Focused on continual seed to sapling growth of both Avocado and Mango plantations you will ensure our turnover meets field planting requirements and yield.
Working closely with the Farm Manager and team at our Redridge Farm.
The Offer This position is full-time, permanent, open to Australian citizens and permanent residents.
The Hours In this role you will work between 38 and 50 hours per week. Monday to Friday with some weekend work required on occasion.
You have the option to be paid for the additional hours worked above 38 per week, or bank these hours for a rainy day. Any hours worked in excess of 200 over a four week period, is overtime and paid at 150% of your hourly rate.
Essential Requirements A minimum of 2 years experience in a nursery environment developing trees from seed to sapling. Acquired or ability to acquireFirst Aid / CPR Forklift (LF) Chemical Certification Current Driver's License Experience with Tractor Operation Understanding of Industry Standards Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders Strong verbal, written and computer literacy skills Demonstrated commitment to a positive safety culture Desirable Requirements Acquired or progressing CERT 3 in Nursery Operations, Horticulture or Production Horticulture.
