South West Healthcare is seeking applications from suitably skilled and experienced Registered Nurses for the ongoing position of Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) - Pediatrics Unit.
This full-time position will be available from March 2025.
The NUM will lead and manage the Paediatric Unit, ensuring effective oversight of staffing, infrastructure, and financial resources.
The successful applicant will actively lead the Paediatric Unit in a consultative and participative manner ensuring well planned and coordinated services to clients and their families, whilst providing clinical leadership to foster patient focused and outcome directed nursing care.
Collaborating with the nursing and midwifery leadership group, the NUM will drive excellence in care and outcomes within the Paediatric Unit.
This is a permanent full-time (80 hours per fortnight) position with a monthly ADO.
We may consider part-time and/or flexible work options for this role.

A Registered Nurse holding a current Registration Certificate as required by AHPRA.A minimum of three years nursing management experience (as a NUM or Associate NUM).Expert knowledge of clinical systems that promote safe patient care.Experience in human resource management including recruitment, workforce and performance planning.Demonstrated problem/conflict solving, team building, role model and change management skills.Demonstrated experience in the ability to lead, consult and establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including proven negotiation and delegation skills, to cultivate productive working relationships.Relevant post graduate qualifications or willingness to complete.What we offerYou will enjoy benefits such as:
