+ superannuation and salary packaging Permanent full-time About the Role As a pivotal leader within the Mental Health Care Program (MHCP), you will utilise your clinical knowledge and experience to coordinate consumer care delivery in a dedicated care unit or team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the line management and coordination of nursing and multidisciplinary team activities, ensuring continuity and quality in patient care.
Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a positive work culture and enhancing team performance, all while focusing on achieving the best possible outcomes for consumers.
You will accept accountability for the outcomes of nursing practices and multidisciplinary efforts, actively addressing any inconsistencies between practice and policy.
Upholding the principles of the National Mental Health Policy and the Standards for Mental Health Services, you will guide and develop less experienced staff, ensuring high-quality care aligns with the Department of Health and Ageing quality framework.

About You Qualified Mental Health Professional – Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a qualification equivalent to a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
Strong Leadership & Communication Skills – Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Innovative Care Model Developer – Experience in reviewing and enhancing person- and family-centred care models, with a commitment to consumer and carer participation.
Experienced Mentor & Change Leader – Minimum three years' post-registration experience, with demonstrated competence in leadership roles and the supervision of less experienced staff.
