Nurse Unit Manager (Continued Care Service) Queensland Health (Organisation site )Mental Health and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Services - MOUNT ISAProvide high-level specialist mental health assessment and intervention clinical services and leadership and management services with the community care team.This is your opportunity to work in a challenging, dynamic and diverse environment and contribute to our vision of creating:Pathways to better healthfor our North West communities.This role is a senior level clinician who is responsible for:The provision of high-level specialist mental health assessment and intervention.Providing leadership, operational management and clinical line management to a team of clinical staff; including management of performance issues and performance enhancement and development in line with the organisational structure.The provision of discipline specific professional supervision to staff as required.What we are seeking:Demonstrated high level of knowledge and skills in clinical assessment and intervention within the current legislative and policy context of a Mental Health Service. Carry out the roles and responsibilities as, or working towards becoming, an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) as required under the Mental Health Act 2016.Demonstrated ability to utilise high level interpersonal skills in the ability to actively participate in a multidisciplinary team environment.Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team in a cross-cultural environment.Demonstrated experience in operational management and supervision of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians.Demonstrated ability to utilise an ethical decision-making framework to make sound clinical decisions in complex situations and to identify professional issues that need to be highlighted to senior staff for further action.Requirements:Proof of qualification, registration with AHPRA and a current practising certificate are mandatory requirements.Possession of or working toward relevant post-graduate qualifications is an expectation for highly regarded applications.Authorised Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) status as per the Mental Health Act 2016, or working toward same, would be highly desirable .The position may involve travel to various facilities or units within the North West Hospital and Health Service.Class C motor vehicle licence.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role.What's on offer?Temporary full-time role up to 28.07.2024salary range between $4933.10 to $5355.90 p.f.
