About us:Capricornia Offender Health Service is responsible for the delivery of health service to Prisoners in the Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC) and Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF) including workcamps.
COHS provides a health service to a fluctuating population of approximately 1200 male prisoners within CCC and CCF.
The CCC receives and transitions prisoners on release from and to geographical locations north to Mackay; south to Gladstone, east to Capricorn Coast; and west to Central Highlands.
About the role:A Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife who: Functions autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and expanded clinical role.Uses expanded skills and knowledge in assessment planning and implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of nursing care required.Assesses and manages recipients of healthcare services using nursing knowledge and skills.Exercises professional and clinical expertise in collaboration with nursing and midwifery and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.About you:Mandatory qualification/s: Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Nurse Practitioner Master's level qualification and NMBA endorsement to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Nurse Practitioner.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo the CQHHS Nursing and Midwifery and Health Practitioner Credentialing and Defining Scope of Clinical Practice Committee Nurse requirements for credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner according to the CQHHS policy.

is comprised of: An hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h.
