NURSE PRACTITIONER, EXPRESS CARE - AMG EXPRESS CARE - FT DAYSThe Nurse Practitioner's primary responsibility is to promote and maintain health by providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within the parameters of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and Anderson Healthcare policies and procedures. The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides diagnostic and therapeutic health care services. As a member of the health care team, the APRN takes medical histories, examines and treats patients, orders and interprets Point of Care laboratory tests and x-rays, and makes diagnoses. The APRN provides patient education and counseling.

Certification: National certification as a nurse practitioner by one of the following certifying bodies as appropriate for the available position:
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)Licensure: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License through the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations; Current State of Illinois Controlled Substance License and current State of Illinois DEA.
Experience Requirements: One year of experience as a nurse practitioner is preferred.
Other Requirements: BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
