As the Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Developmental Paediatrics, you will have an advanced clinical role capable of assessment, care planning, determination for the patient and where appropriate, evidence-based contemporary clinical intervention.
Position Details:
• Permanent part-time (40 hours per fortnight)
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Developmental Paediatrics is a Registered Nurse who demonstrates advanced and expanded clinical skills and knowledge, and a high level of capacity to translate these skills into contemporary evidence-based clinical care for developmental paediatric patients.
Within a credentialed scope of practice, the Nurse Practitioner provides nursing leadership, clinical governance, complex care coordination and support for the developmental paediatric patients in the ambulatory/outpatient setting.

Demonstrates contemporary advanced practice, expert clinical skills, and knowledge in credentialed scope of practice and leadership capability enabling the delivery and support of high-quality patient-focused care.Demonstrates ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication, and a positive environment within and across the multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.Demonstrates the ability to educate, inform, counsel and support patients and families with contemporary clinical information at an advanced level relevant to patient's care and understanding.Applies knowledge of quality improvement frameworks and associated quality processes including the integration of contemporary nursing research to all clinical activities.Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and maintain professional relationships with all members of the healthcare team both internally and externally to the health service.Mandatory Requirements: Registration as a Registered Nurse with Endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.Further information regarding this role, please download and read the attached Role Description and Information Packages.
