About the Role As a Nurse Manager (internally called a Nurse Coordinator) with Bupa ADF Health Services, you will provide leadership and support to your region in North Queensland and will be based at RAAF Townsville Health Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a NUM or nurse with leadership skills to stretch into a Nursing Coordinator role, growing your skillset and developing your expertise within the Defence sector.
Please note, this newly created role is a full-time permanent position. Taking the role of a Nurse Coordinator you will:
Support operational capability by preparing members for global deployment and exercisesTake a hands-on approach to integrating with your team when the tempo requires it and to enable assessment of staff capability and process integrityAccept responsibility for complex situations which may encompass clinical, managerial, and educational contexts e.g. assistance with emergency medical responses, clinical review, and complaint resolutionCoordinate vaccination paradesCoordinate sick parade, triage of members within a Primary Health Care Team modelInvestigate clinical incidents to include review and corrective action feedback to staffReview and update of department SOPsCoordinate roster, staffing levels and supervision of the nursing and Defence Force staff, to enable the provision of high standard of health careAbout you To thrive in this role, you will be an inherently collaborative worker who enjoys working with people of all backgrounds to achieve common goals. You'll be able to pivot to different workplace cultures and clinical environments easily, with an inherent focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
You will also require:
At least 5 years' experience as a Div 1 RNPrior experience as a NUM/coordinatorPost Graduate Qualifications in Nursing or Health Management or working toward same with approval to undertake with an RTOCurrent Defence Health Services experience (desirable)Base Line Security Clearance (desirable)Be at the heart of it with Bupa This isn't your average nurse leadership role.
