Are you a passionate mental health professional looking to make a significant impact? Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking a skilled Nurse Consultant in Mental Health to enhance the quality and safety of our mental health services across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings.
About the Role:
As a Nurse Consultant, you will provide clinical nursing expertise and leadership to support the recovery of mental health consumers. You will work autonomously, utilising your specialised knowledge to improve service outcomes and contribute to the overall quality of mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert mental health nursing care and consultancy services.
Provide clinical leadership to nursing staff, fostering professional growth and development.
Coordinate and lead projects and programs aimed at enhancing consumer/service outcomes.
Accept accountability for your nursing practice, including the professional advice provided and the outcomes of nursing interventions.
Engage with Aboriginal communities in a culturally appropriate manner, promoting inclusive practices.
What We're Looking For:
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, holding a current practicing certificate, and hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
At least 3 years of post-registration experience in mental health nursing.
Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability in communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
Experience in supervising and leading multidisciplinary teams, as well as working with Aboriginal consumers.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, safety standards, and mental health practices.
