ABOUT THE ROLE
The Nuclear Medicine Supervisor role is integral to delivering clinical expertise and leadership, ensuring exemplary standards in patient care and clinical practice.
This position spans our St John of God Geelong & Warrnambool clinics, with the successful candidate overseeing and coordinating Nuclear Medicine services across these locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nuclear Medicine technologist to leverage their expertise by managing and enhancing our Nuclear Medicine services.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Site Supervisor, Admin Team, Other Modalities Supervisors, MIT, and Regional Manager to deliver high-quality, modality-specific services and support the implementation of key initiatives.
The role involves ensuring excellence in service delivery, including workflow optimization, patient care, referrer engagement, productivity targets, and ongoing professional development (CPD).
Additionally, the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor will lead and manage the Nuclear Medicine team, overseeing daily operations, fostering a positive team culture, ensuring professional conduct, and providing coaching and guidance as needed.
You will enjoy this full-time position with 40 hours a week with one RDO a month, no weekend or on-call work!

ABOUT YOU Bachelor Applied Science (Medical Radiation) in Nuclear Medicine Technology or accepted equivalent.Minimum of 10 years of experience in nuclear medicine.Registration with AHPRA & Victorian Radiation Use Licence (Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine).Accreditation with the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine.Previous Leadership experience an advantage.Excellent organisation and time management skills.Patient-focused attitude to delivering Healthcare.Ability to work effectively as a team leader, providing technical direction and consultation to staff.Oversee the scheduling and coordination of nuclear medicine and PET procedures.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient care and workflow.Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.Maintain and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment.Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and practices.Ability to train new and existing staff in the overall operation of the department and use of equipment.ABOUT THE BENEFITS, WELL-BEING & CULTURE Hospital settings.Upgraded SPECT CTs and new digital PET CT.Work in a department with huge career and development opportunities.No Weekend work!
