This full-time Administration Officer role is a vital part of the Ophthalmology department at Westmead Hospital, ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions and supporting exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will also include:
Integral member of the Ophthalmology administration team. Performing reception, secretarial, and administrative duties to a high standard. Acting as the super user of the electronic referrals management system. Supporting the Eye Clinic Outpatient Services and Ophthalmology department. Selection Criteria :
Demonstrated sound knowledge and competent use of IT applications including but not limited to iPM (Hospital Patient Management System) and Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel). Excellent reception skills & customer service including appropriate telephone manner and a patient-centric approach to service provision. Developed secretarial skills including but not limited to transcription, minute taking, organising of travel itineraries and other correspondence. Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and electronic communication skills to work well with a broad scope of patients, staff and affiliated organisations. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality patient/service outcomes with proven ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with both clients and staff during stressful situations. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage systems and processes to support efficient and effective service delivery. Demonstrated ability to use initiative and to prioritise multiple tasks with competing timeframes with exceptional organisational and communication skills.
